Random Chinese Adventures

Now, I know what you all must be thinking. With the start of the new year January tends to be the time to start and, as history has shown, end New Year's resolutions. So before the thought can even enter your mind I would like to bring to light the fact that I have not written in months is because I was in China. My sudden reactivation is just me being elated to start up once again and to update everyone on what my travels abroad have brought me. This is not a second attempt at keeping a blog that eventually fades as the year goes on. I bet you all feel guilty now, as you should.

Living in China as an English teacher, knowing no Chinese whatsoever and having little idea of what I was getting into, almost every thing I did went through several trial and error processes. Especially when it came to traveling to church. (Boy do I have stories for you!) Though it came to my attention quickly while I was there, after sharing just a tidbit of an experience I had, that many people were too concerned with my "safety" that my China adventures were not quite ready to be appreciated. It's like those memories you have of doing something crazy growing up, that your parents don't quite know about, but once you're older it's okay to bring it up in casual dinner conversation and the whole family gets a kick out of it. Being back in the comfort of my own country, the good ol' U.S.A, I figure it's about time to let these golden stories out of hiding and share them with the world (the world that reads my little blog.) So keep an eye out for my Random Chinese Adventures, coming soon!

Who doesn't love a nice scorpion, tarantula, sea horse, centipede, or starfish on a stick?
